Director of Operational Excellence

Surgery Partners is seeking a Director of Operational Excellence to lead enterprise-wide performance improvement across our ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals. In this role, you will design and implement Lean-based initiatives, standardize best practices, and drive measurable gains in quality, efficiency, and patient experience. Partnering with physicians, clinical leaders, and local administrators, you will use data-driven insights to optimize workflows, reduce variation, and support value-based care.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence strategy across ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals
• Design and implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Standardize best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and patient experience
• Use data and KPIs to identify performance gaps and prioritize projects
• Facilitate cross-functional improvement projects with physicians and clinical leaders
• Support value-based care models through process and workflow optimization
• Develop tools, training, and coaching to build a culture of continuous improvement
