- Friday (25 hours per week)

• Assists Development & Communications Manager in the recruitment and screening of volunteers.
• Assists with managing the status and performance of the volunteer programs.
• Prepares records and reports regarding the same.
• Assists in the volunteer component of the Kettles Program: recruits, trains, equips, and schedules volunteers for the program.
• Manages the schedule and directs volunteer groups, volunteer group leaders, and individuals to orient/train them to their assignments.
• Arrange necessary Day of Ringing items for the specific day. I.e., bells, aprons, run of show copies, kettle stand, kettle, kettle sign, match sign, music player, print and distribute Kettle Match Signage.

• Ability to work with volunteers and donors under challenging situations.
• Excellent customer service and communications skills.
• Knowledge of computer software and record-keeping systems
• Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers.
• Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
• Work involves driving a vehicle to special events where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather, such as rain, cold, snow, and heat, or discomforts associated with long-distance trips or heavy traffic.

High School Degree or GED AND One year of experience in customer service, answering phones, and working with the public. OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
