About the role We’re a commercial sign fabrication and installation company looking for an experienced Estimator to produce accurate, detailed, and profitable job estimates. All estimates must be completed in Square Coil (sign estimating software). This is an on-premise position that works closely with Sales and Operations. If you’re the type of person who asks the right questions and catches details others miss, we want to talk.
Whatyou’ll do
- Create accurate job estimates in Square Coil (sign estimating software) (required for all bids)
- Review drawings, specs, and job details and ask questions when information is missing
- Price all project components including materials/freight, fabrication labor, installation labor, equipment (cranes/lifts/rentals), permits/engineering, and subcontractors (electrical, concrete, etc.)
- Request and compare vendor/subcontractor quotes and confirm scope coverage
- Manage multiple estimates at once while maintaining accuracy and organization
Maintain clean, detailed estimate documentation and records in Square Coil (sign estimating software) - Ensure estimates meet required margins and profitability targets
- Support project handoff by documenting assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, and scope notes
- Help with job costing to ensure proper pricing & profitability
- Estimating experience in construction, fabrication, trades, or purchasing/procurement
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills—comfortable collaborating with Sales and clarifying scope
- Solid math/pricing skills and margin awareness
- Commercial sign industry experience (fabrication and/or installation)
- Construction estimating experience is a plus
- Familiarity with permitting, jobsite conditions, equipment needs, and subcontracted scopes
- Experience with Square Coil (sign estimating software) (or similar estimating/ERP systems)
Schedule Monday–Friday (add hours if you’d like)
Compensation & Benefits Pay: $50,000 / $65,000 per year depending on experience
