Senior Superintendent

A well-established and highly respected commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial projects throughout the greater Memphis region. This is a confidential direct-hire opportunity with a family-owned company known for long employee tenure, strong culture, and collaborative leadership.

The organization specializes in complex commercial projects including healthcare, schools, churches, senior living, and institutional construction. Projects are typically located within driving distance of Memphis, allowing employees to be home every night.

The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for leading all on-site construction operations from project startup through closeout. This individual will manage subcontractors, field staff, scheduling, safety, and overall project execution while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within quality standards.

This role is dedicated to overseeing one major project at a time, typically ranging from $10M–$20M+ in value and lasting between 12–36 months.

• Lead all day-to-day field operations for assigned commercial construction projects
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, foremen, laborers, and assistant superintendents
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate all site activities
• Ensure projects progress safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
• Drive accountability and maintain high-quality workmanship standards

• Own and manage construction schedules from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractor sequencing and material deliveries
• Proactively identify and resolve field conflicts or delays
• Work closely with project management and operations leadership

• Fully onsite overseeing project execution from start to finish
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and construction standards
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting

• 10+ years of experience leading commercial construction projects as a Superintendent
• Experience overseeing projects valued at $10M+
• Strong commercial construction background
• Proven experience managing field operations from ground-up through closeout
• Ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and site coordination independently
• Strong leadership and communication skills
