Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician urgent career opportunity available!

• Location: Memphis, TN
• Work Environment: On-site & Field
• Pay Rate: ~ +/- $20–$26/hr (Negotiable, based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

A leading civil-geotechnical engineering firm in the Charlotte area is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician for a long-term opportunity. This role will involve field-based testing, inspections, and construction observations related to soil, concrete, grout, mortar, and asphalt.

• Perform site visits to conduct field testing and general inspections per project specifications
• Test and evaluate soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials
• Operate and maintain nuclear density gauge and other testing equipment
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate equipment to meet industry standards
• Review civil and structural drawings for inspection purposes
• Submit detailed daily field reports
• Follow instructions and safety procedures carefully
• Drive company-provided vehicle to project sites

• Minimum of ~ 2 years of experience in construction materials testing
• ACI Field Level 1 Certification (Concrete Testing) – Required
• Experience operating a nuclear density gauge – Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Proficient with computers for data entry and reporting
• Ability to pass a background check (7-year) and drug screen
