Travelling Construction Project Manager - Owners Rep
AECOM Hunt is seeking to add highly talented Construction Project Managers to join our Hunt Construction group. These positions will be supporting our General Motors account in either Memphis, TN, Austin, TX and Roanoke (DFW), TX as an Owner's Representative Construction Project Manager.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
- Project Planning and Design:
As the Owner representative. Collaborate with General Contractor, Designers, Stakeholders, architects and engineers to develop detailed project plans and design coordination. - Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
Review scope and changes to meet GM Standards - Scheduling:
Review Project schedules to ensure GC's is on time and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion. - Site Management:
Observe construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with GM Standards GM safety regulations and GM quality standards. - Communication:
Act as a liaison between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication. - Problem Solving:
Address issues that arise during the construction process, from technical challenges to logistical problems. - Documentation:
Maintain detailed project documentation RFI's, Meeting Minutes, Daily Reports, Safety Reports, ACC Deliverables, and prepare regular progress reports. Be able to prepare presentations.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- BS Construction Project Management, Engineering or similar degree and 6 years of progressive construction project management/project engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commercial Construction Project experience
- Automotive construction project experience.
- General Motors supply chain/procurement experience is a plus.
- Project controls experience with Cost / Change Management requirements
- Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials. - Project Management
Skills:
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. - Experience on General Motors construction projects. General Motors supply chain/procurement experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of General Motors Safety Contract Manager program.
- Safety training OSHA 10 or 30.
- Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with clients. - Problem-Solving
Skills:
Strong analytical skills to evaluate plans and blueprints and resolve issues that may arise during construction.

- This position will be located on site in Memphis, TN or Martinsburg, WV
- This position will include temporary location
- Travel is required for this position.
- The anticipated duration of this project is an initial 9-12 month assignment, and can be extended at the client's discretion.
