- Perform quality assurance sampling and testing for soils, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete.
- Use standard inspection equipment such as measuring tapes, measuring wheels, levels, probes, mobile devices, and other field-testing tools.
- Site Monitoring: Observe and document daily construction activities to verify work is being completed according to project plans and specifications.
- Measure distances, elevations, and dimensions to confirm construction work is installed correctly.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily inspection reports, field notes, and project documentation, including photographs and summaries of construction activities.
- Enter and organize project information using construction management software.
- Safety & Traffic Control: Conduct daily inspections of work zones, traffic control devices (MUTCD standards), and erosion control measures to help maintain compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Follow all company and project safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communication: Communicate and coordinate with contractors, utility representatives, project team members, and supervisors regarding construction activities and field observations.
- Participate in training opportunities to develop technical knowledge and inspection skills.
