Senior Scheduling Consultant

Compensation $156,000 to $185,000 NET salary on a 1099 basis (Equivalent to $260,000 on a W-2)

Role Description

The Senior Scheduling Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Jackson, MS, responsible for leading scheduling and project controls activities on complex construction projects. This position develops, maintains, and updates CPM schedules, coordinates with project teams to incorporate scope changes, and analyzes schedule impacts to support timely decision-making. The consultant prepares progress updates, variance analyses, and schedule narratives for internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring alignment with project budgets and milestones.

Daily tasks include collaborating with project managers and field staff, participating in coordination meetings, supporting delay and claims analysis, and providing expert recommendations to improve schedule performance and project outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in CPM scheduling tools and techniques (Primavera P6) and ability to develop, update, and analyze detailed construction schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills - must lead schedule progress mtgs
  • Experience in project controls, including progress tracking, schedule risk analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Solid knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and field operations, preferably across commercial projects.
  • Background in construction delay analysis, claims preparation, and cost/time impact assessments is highly beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., PSP, PMP) are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present schedule information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead scheduling efforts on multiple projects, and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
