Commercial Construction Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout the Memphis area. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through final completion while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a proven background working for a commercial general contractor, excels at coordinating subcontractors and field teams, and is committed to delivering successful projects through strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Oversee all on-site construction activities from project startup through final completion.
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and trade partners to maintain project schedules, quality, and productivity.
- Develop, update, and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
- Coordinate project sequencing, site logistics, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and constructability challenges.
- Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite safety programs.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Review construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, specifications, and project documentation to support field execution.
- Partner with Project Managers to coordinate procurement, scheduling, budgets, and project milestones.
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and daily planning discussions.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, progress photos, and project records.
- Coordinate inspections, punch-list completion, owner walkthroughs, project turnover, and final closeout.
- Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
