Our Content Center Coordinator helps run our Assignment Desk and digital content on all platforms. Help set the editorial agenda in the Mid-South by shaping the journalism at the area’s real #1 news station.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Coordinate logistics for all crews in the field
• Prioritizing and execute coverage of breaking news
• Formulate contacts and resources to uncover enterprise journalism
• Work to confirm stories
• Write and create content on all FOX
  13 digital platforms
• Stay up to date on evolving journalism trends and tactics
• Understand our research and our community to prioritize the stories we cover
• Manage feeds going into all newscasts
• Plan ahead to build tomorrow’s newscast today
• Build coverage plans for major events and significant stories
• Cultivate content constantly!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in journalism, broadcasting, or related field
• Prior newsroom experience is a plus
• Understanding of AP-style writing
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be thoroughly professional in all aspects of journalism
• Thorough understanding of our crime filter and comprehension of ethical journalism
• Knowledge of the Memphis market is a plus
