• Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily
• Collaborate closely with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage
• Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
• Participate in real-time coverage during breaking news moments
• Apply SEO and tagging best practices to enhance content discoverability

• 1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
• Proven experience writing and editing online content, including articles and social media copy
• Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing software
• Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred

• A strong writer and editor with sound editorial judgment
• Genuine passion for news, current events, and cultural discussions
• Collaborative communicator with the ability to work across diverse teams
• Adaptability during breaking news and evolving coverage
• Multimedia-first mindset with an understanding of journalism across various platforms
