JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe Photographer and Videographer takes and edits photos for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
ResponsibilitiesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
:
Bachelors degree in Art, Visual Communication, Journalism, Videography, Film, Photography or related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE
:
One (1) year of relevant photography and videography experience in professional communications, graphic design, advertising/marketing or similar environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability and knowledge to operate Apple computers.
- Ability to take high quality professional photos using DSLRs and professional photo equipment.
- Photo and video editing and production skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Knowledge of lighting for photo, video and audio production using DSLRs (preferably Canon systems) and audio recorders.
- Visual composition skills with the ability to conceptualize and produce story‑telling video productions.
- Knowledge to distribute videos via You Tube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, One Drive, etc.
- Ability to edit photos/video and provide those edited files to the client in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of Photo Shelter/Libris (our digital asset manager) and ability to maintain the digital asset manager.
- Knowledge of communications media relations, design, websites, social media and email marketing software.
WORK SCHEDULE
: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Mon‑Fri) 40 hours weekly. Work some weekends and evenings as needed.
