This is a Full-time position at Memphis Graceland RV Park & Campground having variable/flexible working hours to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required. Under the supervision of the RV Park Manager, assist the RV Park Manager with essential responsibilities and duties regarding the daily operations of the RV Park.:
- Assist with the training and motivation of RV Park Clerks.
- Acts as a role model to others in following policies and procedures of the company/department.
- Represent the campground in a professional manner.
- Provide superior guest service.
- Oversee check-in/check-out and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing and accounting policies and procedures.
- Complete follow through of no-show, late cancellation charges and cancelling site reservations.
- Assign camp sites, book reservations, and maintain records of camp site assignments.
- Welcome all guests in a friendly manner and assist with any questions or concerns during their stay at the RV Park.
- Help to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience while adhering to the park rules.
- Provide and collect daily paperwork and reports as required.
- Act as switchboard operator, receiving calls and taking messages.
- Answer questions about services, checkout times, the local community, and attractions as well as other matters in public relations capacity.
- Designated individual for POS entries/data.
- Assist in maintaining the office/camp store in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Stock and inventory gift/grocery & part items for retail
- All other duties as assigned.
Must have demonstrated leadership skills; ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision; excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the telephone are essential; must have computer/POS experience; organizational skills to determine workload in a timely manner; ability to work quickly and accurately under constant pressure; must be able to communicate both in person and on the telephone with a wide variety of individuals;
skill to exercise tact and diplomacy during discussions with campground guests; ability to problem solve; must demonstrate superior guest services/relations; ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality; a merchandise background with some knowledge of merchandising mathematics (mark up’s and pricing); knowledge of cash registers and cash handling experience.
Ability to speak clearly and distinctly both in person and on the telephone; lift packages weighing up to twenty-five (25) lbs.; ability to stop and reach; ability to climb stairs; ability to stand for long period of time.
