The College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis invites applications for a full-time General Dentist faculty position in the Department of Dental Hygiene. This is a non-tenure Open Rank Professor position. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Dental Hygiene.

The College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis invites applications for a full-time General Dentist faculty position in the Department of Dental Hygiene. This is a non-tenure Open Rank Professor position. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Dental Hygiene.

Responsibilities include providing didactic and clinical instruction to dental hygiene students. Supervise and mentor students during patient care, ensuring the highest standard of clinical practice and safety. Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Engage in scholarly activities, including research, presentations, and publications as appropriate. Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and meetings as assigned.

Contribute to community outreach, continuing education, and public service programs aligned with the department’s mission. Maintain compliance with all accreditation standards and state regulations relevant to dental hygiene education.

EDUCATION:

DDS or DMD or equivalent degree.

EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated experience in dental education or clinical supervision

preferred. Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and service. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

LICENSES:
Eligibility for licensure as a General Dentist in the State of Tennessee.
