Job Description
We seek a highly motivated, faculty-level (clinician scientist or clinical track) candidate at the Associate or Assistant Member level with training in pediatric hematology‑oncology, a proven track of excellence in academic potential, and a strong interest in clinical / translational research and clinical care activities. The preferred candidate should also have experience in mentorship and fellowship training within the academic setting.
Department of Oncology includes the Leukemia‑Lymphoma, Neuro‑oncology, Solid Tumor, Palliative Care & Quality of Life, Cancer Predisposition, Cancer Survivorship, and Molecular Oncology divisions. The department is closely aligned with the St. Jude NCI‑funded Comprehensive Cancer Center, offering opportunities to translate basic and translational research into clinical practice.
Position OverviewThis position will report directly to the Director of the Solid Tumor Division, lead clinical research in identified sub‑disease fields, and provide patient care services in collaboration with and under the leadership of the Division Director, Director of Oncology Clinical Medicine, and the Chair. The faculty member will also incorporate clinical education into daily practice to ensure a satisfactory learning experience for hematology‑oncology fellows, residents, and medical students in the Solid Tumor outpatient clinic and the combined Solid Tumor/Neuro‑Oncology inpatient service.
Responsibilities- Lead clinical research in specified solid‑tumor sub‑disease areas.
- Provide patient care services under the supervision of division leadership.
- Integrate clinical education into practice for fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Align individual goals with divisional, departmental, and institutional strategic initiatives.
- Engage in faculty development and promote multidisciplinary care delivery and research activities.
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in pediatric hematology‑oncology.
- Training in pediatric hematology‑oncology with a proven track of academic excellence.
- Strong interest in clinical/translational research and clinical care.
- Experience in mentorship and fellowship training in an academic setting (preferred).
