Job Description

The Department of Pathology e Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a molecular pathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Member level in the Division of Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology. The position is clinical‑track with up to 80% effort devoted to clinical service. The remaining effort will focus on translational research, assay development, and career advancement. Established focus in bioinformatics or computational pathology is strongly encouraged.

The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in molecular pathology case signout, including advanced NGS assays, and may have opportunities to lead a bioinformatics development team.

Our division has succeeded in the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project and developed a Clinical Genomics Laboratory conducting whole genome, transcriptome, and exome sequencing. These approaches are standard of care for nearly all patients e. Methylation classification of pediatric brain and solid tumors, cfDNA diagnostics, and molecular monitoring strategies are also routine or in development.

Qualifications

Successful applicants will hold an MD and/or PhD degree. Candidates must be board‑certified in AP or AP/CP, and be board‑certified or eligible for board certification in Molecular Genetic Pathology. PhD candidates with ABMGG board certification and fellowship training in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics are also encouraged.
