It is the first and only pediatric cancer center designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute.
The Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (BMTCT) seeks a highly motivated faculty member on the clinical or clinician scientist track at the Assistant or Associate level with training in hematology-oncology, bone marrow transplantation, and cellular therapy. The preferred candidate should have experience in:
- clinical/translational research and clinical care activities
- mentorship and fellowship training within the academic setting
- incorporating quality and process improvement into daily clinical practice
The BMTCT Department provides a highly collaborative environment where faculty members have ample opportunities to participate in clinical, educational, and translational research initiatives. As an integral team member the faculty member is expected to ensure alignment of individual goals with departmental and institutional strategic goals, pursue faculty development, and promote outstanding multidisciplinary research activities and care delivery.
Current faculty members have active collaborations with multiple departments, including Oncology, Hematology, Infectious Diseases, and Immunology. The position is based in Memphis, TN with relocation assistance available. The facilities and salaries are competitive, and a generous benefit package is included.
It is essential that candidates have an MD or DO degree, be Board certified or Board-eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology, and have a proven track record in bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy.
