The Role
As a Resource Teacher
, you'll play an essential part in supporting our school’s daily operations and long-term goals. You'll serve as a classroom floater, provide teacher planning breaks, assist with front office tasks, and act as a backup cook when needed. You'll also help prepare the school for NAEYC accreditation by supporting documentation, observation, and process alignment.
We’re looking for someone who is organized, flexible, and passionate about high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities- Float between classrooms to support teaching teams and ensure smooth transitions
- Provide coverage for teacher breaks and planning periods
- Serve as backup cook when the kitchen staff is unavailable
- Support the documentation and preparation processes for NAEYC accreditation
- Assist with administrative duties in the front office as needed
- Support classroom environments that foster social-emotional growth and learning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance school operations and classroom effectiveness
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child Development Associate Required
- Strong understanding of NAEYC standards, as well as ITERS and ECERS
- Experience in curriculum implementation, classroom management, or preschool leadership roles
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with child care responsibilities and emergencies
- Comfortable working with all age groups, from infants to pre-K
- Flexible, team-oriented, and eager to support wherever needed
- Must demonstrate empathy, dependability, and professionalism
