Works under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Schools and Leadership to manage, develop, and provide support to a team of instructional coaches and serves as liaison between the Director and Professional Learning Coaches (PLC). Facilitates and designs PLC team meetings and professional development. Also serves to build the capacity of other Professional Learning Coaches district-wide.
Responsibilities- Supports, develops, and assesses a team of Professional Learning Coaches (PLC) through managing the orientation processes, analyzing the New Teacher Center (NTC) Learning Zone, leading team meetings, and remaining responsive to the various needs of PLC.
- Supports, develops, and sustains partnerships with principals and other school leaders.
- Collaborates with the New Teacher Grant Director to establish instructional coaching as an integral strategy to talent development work in the district served, and ensures linkages to district-based supports.
- Serves as a resource for district professional development.
- Designs, facilitates, attends, and leads internal teacher professional development and professional learning communities such as Instructional Coach Forums, NTC Symposium and Peer Coaching.
- Evaluates new programming and/or expansion of current programming.
- Performs other related work as assigned.
Graduation form an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration or related field;
Plus four (4) years of related teaching experience totaling eight (8) years. Masters’ degree preferred. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
