TITLE: Long-term Substitute Teacher - 6th Grade Science

LOCATION: Clear Creek Amana Middle School (Tiffin, IA)

Principal or Designee

JOB SUMMARY
:
Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in 6th Grade Science during teacher's absence.

• In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills
• Follow behavior management plans for students
• Assist and collaborate with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals
• Maintain appropriate records and protect the confidentiality of data
• Report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis
• Other duties as assigned

• Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization Certificate
• Experience in classroom teaching PreK 12th grade preferred.
• Initiative to be a self starter
• Intuitive to the needs of students
• Flexibility in assignment given
• Ability to use good judgment
