Licenses and Certifications Requirements
- Required
- Professional Teacher License with special endorsement in Pre-K to 3rd
- Tennessee Department of Education - Required
- Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED
- American Heart Association
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of how to assist a child/family to achieve optimal success by using best practice strategies for the provision of early childhood education.
- Specific knowledge of early childhood developmental tasks and strategies to assist children in meeting developmental milestones.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with families and provide support encouragement.
- Ability to administer various developmental standardized testing accurately and report varying levels of complex data both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand complex written materials.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines, and maintain control of work flow.
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and insurable by the Medical Center's insurance carrier.
Supervision Provided by this Position
- Leads Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Volunteers, and Students.
Physical Demands
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position:
The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
