Job Summary

This is a full‑time term faculty appointment within the Department of Allied Health. The faculty member coordinates, plans, prepares, presents, and evaluates classroom instruction and related activities. The instructor teaches on any SWTCC campus as assigned. The Clinical Coordinator plans, organizes, administers, and reviews clinical experiences; assigns students to sites; ensures onboarding requirements are met; maintains documentation; verifies clinical performance; serves as the point of contact for clinic sites;

and teaches in the classroom and laboratory. The coordinator also fosters professional relationships with existing and new clinical sites and participates in college activities.

Job Duties
  • Prepares and delivers lectures.
  • Serves as liaison between the college, faculty, students, and clinical sites.
  • Compiles, administers, evaluates, and grades student work, keeping students informed of progress.
  • Maintains office hours for student advisement.
  • Maintains accurate student attendance, grades, and required records.
  • Maintains current license/certification in the profession.
  • Attends faculty meetings, assemblies, professional development, and orientation activities as called by the President, Dean, or Department Chair.
  • Keeps abreast of developments in the field through literature, colleagues, and professional conferences.
  • Participates in departmental and college committees and provides outreach service to the community.
  • Advises and counsels students in academic and career matters.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head or Dean.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree required (BSRT preferred).
  • Progress toward a Master’s degree with completion in accordance with JRCERT accreditation requirements.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiologic Technology.
  • Equivalent of three (3) years full‑time experience in the professional discipline.
  • Background check will be required for the successful candidate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years experience as an instructor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student‑centered learning.
  • Skill in selecting and using training/instructional methods appropriate for the situation.
  • Skills in various computer software.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing clearly.
