STREETS Ministries is looking for a caring, organized, and relationship-centered Elementary Education Coordinator to help elementary students grow in confidence as readers and learners. In this full-time role, you will lead programs that support 2nd and 3rd grade students through age-appropriate books, curriculum, tutoring, volunteer encouragement, and meaningful connections with families, schools, and the neighborhood community.

What You’ll Do- Lead after school and summer literacy programming with care, consistency, and creativity.
- Help 2nd and 3rd grade students build stronger reading skills through tutoring, reading sessions, age-appropriate materials, and supportive follow‑up.
- Recruit, train, encourage, and match volunteers and interns so they are prepared to serve students well.
- Create a welcoming program environment where students are known by name, encouraged toward positive choices, and invited into meaningful activities.
- Build strong relationships with families, partner schools, volunteers, staff, and neighborhood community members.
- Prepare program materials, coordinate needed resources, and ensure tools and devices are ready before programs begin.
- Plan and host two monthly gospel‑centered Block Party events for elementary students.
- Track student participation, update weekly records, enter data in Salesforce, and share monthly program updates.
- Manage the annual elementary program budget and complete other role‑related duties as needed.
- A heart for the mission of STREETS Ministries and a desire to support students, families, and communities with humility and consistency.
- Experience in elementary education, tutoring, after‑school programming, youth ministry, or a related setting.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with students, parents and guardians, volunteers, schools, and community partners.
- A dependable, organized approach to planning, follow‑through, records, and program details.
- Comfortable engaging with students and families in neighborhood, school, and program settings.
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to a collaborative team.
- Agreement with STREETS Ministries’ Statement of Faith.
- Authorization to work in the United States and ability to pass a background check.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend events, ability to occasionally lift 10 to 25 pounds, and ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb as needed to perform the essential functions of the job.
This role serves in youthprogram,office,school,and neighborhood settings. The Elementary Education Coordinator spends time on school campuses for lunches, programs, projects, and events, and travels locally for program‑related activities as needed.
