POSITION OVERVIEWThe Registrar provides strategic leadership and operational management of all functions related tostudentacademicrecords,registration,enrollment,degree certification,course scheduling,and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations. The Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and security of all academic records and plays a key role in advancing the College’s mission through effective service, innovation, and adherence to best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Directandoverseealloperationsofthe Officeofthe Registrar ,including registration, course scheduling,grading,transcript services,degree audits,graduation certification, and academic record maintenance
- Ensurecompliancewithfederal,state,andaccreditationregulations,includingFERPA, enrollment reporting, and academic policy enforcement
- Manageacademiccalendars,catalogs,andrelatedpublicationsincollaborationwith Academic Affairs and other college offices
- Develop,implement,andevaluatepoliciesandprocedurestoenhanceefficiency, accuracy, and service delivery
- Collaboratewithacademicleadership,faculty,andstafftosupportstudentsuccess initiatives, retention, and timely degree completion
- Overseetechnologicalsystemsrelatedtostudentinformation,registration,and records management; partner with IT to ensure effective use of software and data integrity
- Provideleadershipassistanceindatareportingforinstitutionalresearch,accreditation, state agencies, and other stakeholders
- Supervise,train,andevaluateofficestafftoensureahighstandardofserviceand professional development
- Serveasakeyresourceforinterpretingacademicpolicy,advising faculty,staff,and students on records and registration matters
- Representthecollegeatprofessionalassociations,conferences,andmeetingsrelatedto enrollment management and registrar functions
- Bachelor’sdegreein
Higher Education Administration ,Student Personnel,Business Administration, or related field required; master or doctorate preferred - Minimumof3-5yearsofprogressivelyresponsibleexperienceinregistrarservicesor academic administration
- Recent experience working with students with VA benefits at an Institution of Higher Education (IHL) highly preferred
- DemonstratedknowledgeofFERPA,highereducationcompliancestandards,and accreditation requirements
- Proficiencywithstudentinformationsystems(e.g.,Ellucian(Colleague,Power Campus, Jenzabar, People Soft) and related technologies
- Strong leadership,organizational,analytical,and problem-solving skills
- Commitmenttodiversity,equity,inclusion,and student-centered service
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment, which requires business professional attire. While performing the above job duties, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee, frequently, is required to walk, stand, reach and lift (10) pounds.
