JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pre-Employment Instructor must be energetic, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and love teaching and serving youth.
The Instructor will primarily work with students with disabilities (ages 14-22) during school hours; facilitating individual and group sessions that help students work towards their employment goal.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lesson planning and student instruction
- Facilitate jobskills training and job readiness training classes
- Assist individuals in developing career goals, skills training, job readiness training and other activities related to employment
- Communicating effectively with administrators, parents, and staff
- Maintaining accurate records
- Complete monthly reports
- Complete daily sign in sheets
REQUIREMENTS
- (1) year experience in employment education, social work, human resources, business, counseling, job placement, job coaching or a public vocational rehabilitation program
- (6) months professional experience working with individuals with disabilities
