Early Childhood; Lead Guide

Located in the vibrant urban setting of downtown Memphis, Sr. Thea Bowman Montessori School serves a diverse community of children and families through the Montessori Method and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Our focus is the development of the whole child within a welcoming prepared environment that uplifts the dignity and worth of all. We are seeking a Lead Guide to serve as the primary educator and spiritual leader for children ages 3 to 6 starting July 2026.

This role bridges Montessori pedagogy and Catholic faith formation, guiding each child toward independence, curiosity, and inner-discipline. The lead guide ensures a well-prepared environment, fosters a peaceful and inclusive community, and mentors assistant staff in alignment with the school’s mission and Montessori philosophy. In this role, you will partner with our dedicated, trained Catechist who leads all Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) instruction;

no prior CGS training, knowledge, or experience is required.

Requirements:
Montessori Early Childhood Diploma, 1+ years of experience with children ages 3–6.

Salary range: $45,000–$52,000 annually.
