LeMoyne-Owen College isseekinga dedicated and competent Certified Assistant Athletic Trainer who will be committed to the success and well-being of our student-athletes athletically, academically, socially, and mentally during their matriculation at the institution.

• Workwithstudent athletes,coachesandmedicalprofessionals intheanalysis,diagnosis, referral,treatment,rehabilitation, andthereturntosportforstudent athletes
• Participateinpreseasonteammeetingsforall sports
• Assistinmaintaining medical records of all student athletes, including but not limited to injuries, treatments, referrals, physical examinations, rehab attendance and progress
• Bepresentandobservepracticesandcompetitions(Some travelis required)
• Communicatepositivelyandeffectivelywithall stakeholders
• Notify Head Athletic Trainer  when student-athletes donotadhere to prescribed rehab directives in a timely manner and/or when they are being released toreturn to sport
• Supervise and maintainasanitarytrainingroomareawith proper working equipment
• Workwith
  
  HeadATtoreferandarrange transportation to external medical providers withthe assistance of coaches
• Manage administrative tasksastheyrelate to scheduling physicals and appointments, butnot limitedtomaintaininginventory,equipmentrepairandreplenishingsupplies
• Communicate regularly withthe Equipment/Facilities Mgr.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletics Director

• Certified in First-Aid, CPR and AED

• Understanding ofthe challenges that student-athletes face such as proper nutrition, rest and exercise and corrective options
• Mustbeaskilledrecords keeper/Organized
• Dressappropriatelyfortheposition anddemonstrateprofessionalbehavioratall times
• Remaincurrentwithtrendsinthe profession

While performing the dutiesof this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle, orfeeltotalkandtohear.
