Mid-South Gifted Academy is a PreK–12 private school in the greater Memphis area, built specifically for gifted and academically advanced learners. With small class sizes (5:1 student-to-staff ratio), mastery-based pacing, and a community of teachers who understand how gifted children think and learn, MSGA offers an environment where advanced learners are challenged at their level while still getting to be kids.

Our Montessori-based program serves our youngest learners, PreK through Kindergarten, at our campus in Collierville.

As a Guide in Training, you'll work alongside a lead Montessori guide in a prepared 3–6 classroom environment, supporting children through their daily work cycle while building the skills and experience needed to grow into a certified Montessori guide. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves early childhood education and wants hands-on classroom experience while pursuing Montessori certification. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Support the lead guide in maintaining a prepared, orderly classroom environment
• Observe and assist children during independent work periods
• Help with practical life, sensorial, and academic material presentations
• Foster a calm, respectful, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
• Assist with classroom care, material upkeep, and daily routines
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff
• Participate in ongoing training toward Montessori certification

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience with children ages 3–6 preferred (classroom, childcare, or related)
• Open to candidates pursuing Montessori certification
• Patient, observant, and collaborative disposition
• Experience with or interest in working with gifted or advanced learners a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check
