Are you an experienced Technical Operations Leader with expertise in GE TM2500 or LM2500/LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbines?

Our client is seeking a hands‑on leader to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a temporary power generation facility. You'll provide technical leadership across a 24/7 operation, supporting plant performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading operational teams in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the safe operation of GE TM2500 Gen 8 gas turbine units and associated plant.
  • Provide technical leadership during unit trips, outages, start-ups, shutdowns, and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Supervise control room and field operations, ensuring safe staffing and operational excellence across all shifts.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and I&C teams to maximise plant availability and reliability.
  • Lead root cause analysis, fault finding, and corrective actions to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM procedures, OSHA requirements, permit-to-work systems, and site EHS standards.
  • Support maintenance planning, commissioning activities, and continuous operational improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 10+ years experience in power generation, including extensive experience operating and maintaining GE TM2500, LM2500, or LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbines.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting, commissioning, start-up, and emergency or temporary power generation.
  • Proven leadership experience managing operational teams in a 24/7 plant environment.
  • OEM certifications and experience with GE TM2500 systems are highly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist power generation business delivering critical energy solutions, where you'll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, plant reliability, and the safe delivery of power when it's needed most.
