About the Position

PRISMECS is seeking an experienced Control Room Supervisor (CRO) to provide operational supervision, technical oversight, and control-room support for three GE TM2500+ Gen 8 gas turbine units at a power-generation project near Memphis, Tennessee.

The selected candidate will monitor turbine operating conditions, oversee control-room activities, document operational data, support shift handovers, coordinate with field and technical personnel, and promptly elevate alarms, trips, and abnormal conditions.

This is strictly a supervisory and advisory position
. It does not involve hands-on maintenance or repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor GE TM2500+ Gen 8 units and related plant equipment from the control room.
  • Monitor and document power output, fuel flow, exhaust temperatures, vibration, alarms, auxiliary systems, and other operating parameters.
  • Identify, classify, and promptly elevate critical alarms, trips, abnormal conditions, and operational risks.
  • Observe and support turbine startups, shutdowns, loading, load changes, normal operations, and emergency-response activities.
  • Maintain accurate control-room logs, alarm records, daily reports, shift records, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with field personnel, shift leadership, O&M teams, client representatives, rental providers, and OEM representatives.
  • Report equipment abnormalities, unsafe conditions, deviations, and operational concerns.
  • Support troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis by providing timelines, trends, alarm information, and operating observations.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, incident, and management reports.
  • Ensure clear communication and continuity between shifts.
  • Follow all HSE, Lockout/Tagout, permit-to-work, site, and operating procedures.
  • Immediately report incidents, injuries, near misses, environmental concerns, safety violations, and equipment failures.
Required Qualifications
  • Professional control-room operations or power-generation experience.
  • Experience with gas turbines, aeroderivative turbines, or gas-fired power plants.
  • Previous supervisory, team-lead, or shift-lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of turbine monitoring, alarm response, operating procedures, and shift handovers.
  • Experience supporting turbine startups, shutdowns, loading, and abnormal operating events.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with HMI, DCS, SCADA, or turbine-control systems.
  • Knowledge of HSE, Lockout/Tagout, and permit-to-work requirements.
  • Ability to prepare accurate operational logs and technical reports.
  • Ability to work rotating day and night shifts supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Must currently reside in the United States.
  • Must already have valid authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work on-site near Memphis, Tennessee.
  • Must not require current or future visa sponsorship or immigration assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with GE TM2500+ Gen 8 units
    .
  • Experience monitoring multiple turbine units simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in gas-turbine commissioning or continuous power-plant operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, reporting, leadership, and coordination skills.
