Test Engineering Technician

Overview

The Test Engineering Technician I supports manufacturing test operations by executing defined electrical and functional tests under direct supervision. This role assists Test Engineers and Manufacturing Test personnel with test setup, execution, data collection, and equipment handling while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Working days: Mon - Fri

Working hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

• Independently perform electrical and functional testing including:

  VAC and 120
  
  VAC electrical power and functional testing
• 24
  
  VDC control systems and interlock validation
• Hipot / dielectric withstand testing
• Pressure testing, leak detection, pre-air, and vacuum testing
• Safety interlocks and emergency stop validation
• Set up, configure, and verify test stations for production
• Assist with troubleshooting test failures and equipment issues
• Support Test Engineers with test validation and process improvements
• Verify equipment calibration and readiness
• Train and support Test Engineering Technician I personnel
• Maintain accurate test documentation and logs
• Lead creation, review, and modification of test work instructions for complex or safety-critical test processes
• Ensure work instructions fully capture electrical safety, pressure safety, interlocks, and risk controls
• Validate work instructions through test execution, peer review, and production trials
• Serve as a technical reviewer and approve (as delegated) for work instruction changes
• Mentor Technician I and II personnel on proper use and continuous improvement of work instructions
• Partner with Test Engineers to ensure documentation aligns with test intent and compliance requirements
• Support training of operators using updated work instructions
• Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and Jabil standards

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certification preferred. Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, test, or technical roles. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications.
