As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor, delivering innovative structural solutions across a diverse range of projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience leading complex structural designs from concept through completion, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring all structural engineering deliverables meet the industry standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities- Operations: Serve as the technical lead and engineer of record, overseeing all structural engineering projects, providing oversight and direction to project teams.
- Client Satisfaction: Partner with clients to understand project goals and develop creative solutions. Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client retention efforts.
- Design and Analysis: Develop and analyze structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other structures, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Project Management: Oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Site inspections: Conduct site visits to assess condition, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborations: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
- Compliance: Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Problem solving: Identify and resolve structural issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions.
- B.S. or M.S degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in vertical structural design and project management.
- Proven experience designing a variety of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Possess a strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Effective communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with sustainable and resilient design practices is a plus.
- Proficient with structural analysis and design software and familiar with drafting/BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, etc.
