Position Objective: The CAD Specialist - Structures is an individual with strong Solid Works expertise. The ideal candidate will create, modify, and manage high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models to support the Temporary Structures Division in providing our customers with a viable project solution. This role requires precision, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with third party Professional Engineers, sales, and warehouse teams to turn concepts into deliverable jobs.

• Create and modify detailed 3D solid models, assemblies, and 2D production drawings using Solid Works in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Develop complex parts, assemblies, design tables, configurations, and exploded views.
• Generate manufacturing-ready drawings including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), BOMs (Bill of Materials), and revision control documentation.
• Collaborate with third party engineers, construction managers, and warehouse teams to interpret design requirements, resolve technical issues, and implement design improvements.
• Maintain and organize the CAD library, templates, and standard parts database for efficient reuse.
• Support prototyping, testing, and production by providing accurate models, drawings, and technical documentation.

• 3+ years of professional experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Specialist, or similar role with heavy emphasis on Solid Works.
• Proficiency in Solid Works (parts, assemblies, drawings)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical documents.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams.
• Familiarity with ASCE Hazard Tables and IBC as they relate to fabric structures

• Ability to read and respond to common inquiries from teammates or managers
• Ability to read and understand tape measurements
• Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• General mechanical aptitude
• Safety oriented

Base Pay Range: $24.05 - 34.56
