Overview
Our client is a very well established manufacturer of products for the electric power line industry, and they have an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer.
Responsibilities- Develop new product part and assembly designs, drawings and specifications
- Evaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet the technical and functional requirements
- Review and analysis of proposed product changes
- Perform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs
- Manage prototype development and testing
- Facilitate creation and approval of Engineering drawing changes
- Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures
- Write test reports for both internal use and for publication
- Work independently on moderately complex products/product lines
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines
- Technical support for Field Sales personnel
- Required: BSEE or equivalent
- 5-10 years of engineering experience
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software
- Good communication skills
- Preferred: Electric utility product line experience
- Preferred: Manufacturing environment experience
- Preferred: Proficient with 3D modeling software (preferably Solid Works or ProE)
- Preferred: Understanding of manufacturing processes
