Prismecs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technical Advisor (Mechanic TA) to support Operations & Maintenance activities at a mobile power generation project in Memphis, TN.
Only candidates currently based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship will be considered.
This role is responsible for mechanical maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of LM6000, TM2500, and LM2500 gas turbine units
, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations in compliance with HSE and project requirements.
- Perform installation support, walk-downs, and verification of contractor work
- Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
- Perform Level 1, 2, and 3 maintenance on gas turbine units
- Conduct borescope inspections (BSI) on LM6000 / TM2500 / LM2500
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues across plant systems
- Respond to emergency repairs and equipment failures
- Support Project Managers with planning and technical issue resolution
- Provide technical guidance to site personnel and customer teams
- Prepare reports, job updates, and documentation
- Coordinate materials, parts, and tool requirements
- Ensure proper tool usage, maintenance, and housekeeping
- Mentor and train field personnel
- Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and procedures
Required:
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 3+ years of gas turbine or power generation experience
- Hands‑on experience with LM6000 / TM2500 / LM2500 turbines (MANDATORY)
- Experience in maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and plant equipment
- Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours
- Strong HSE awareness in industrial environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of tribology and mechanical diagnostics
- Experience with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001
- Experience in mobile or temporary power projects
