Position: Mechanical Engineer I (On-Site)

An Engineer I is an entry-level position on the path to becoming a Project Engineer or Design Engineer. You will work under the supervision of a manager and an experienced project engineer. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical components of a project. While working under the supervision of a senior colleague, you will also contribute to live engineering projects in order to help project teammates complete the work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Become a contributing member of a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Develop insight into engineering duties concerning the design of conveyor systems.
  • Acquire knowledge of codes, standards and specifications associated with material handling design.
  • Develop proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D CAD Software.
  • Perform ballooning and dimensioning of drawings as assigned.
  • Provide technical design support to engineering and field teams.
  • Review drawings and check for errors prior to customer review.
  • Prepare detailed reports to demonstrate technical progress and accomplishments on projects.
  • Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the business.
Qualifications
  • Minimum:
    Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience:

    0 – 1 year (internship preferred if under 1 year).
  • Familiarity with MS Office plus 2D and 3D CAD Software (Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD preferred, but not required).

  • Superior administrative capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with finesse and to complete them with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to include grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
