- Maintain operating status of all environmental permits and licensing compliance requirements
- Complete payments for vendor invoices, permits, and other compliance documents
- Track compliance permits and invoices using EHS Software System
- Oversee the process for EPA Identification Numbers, State Chemical Permits, Air Permits, Safety Permits, etc. for all required Auto Zone locations
- Assist with creation, review, and updates hazardous waste business plans for California stores in CERS (California Environmental Reporting System)
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local ordinances and guidelines.
- Interact directly and maintain effective working relationships with business owners, management companies, customers, and regulators.
- Oversee vendor onboarding using Contract/Vendor Compliance Software
- Manage vendor communication for new and relocated locations to ensure asset orders and transfers are completed
- Research new and current rules and requirements of each regulatory agency and/or municipality to facilitate permit processing and expedite completion for existing and new locations
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Earth Science, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in Environmental Management, consulting, or regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proven experience managing environmental compliance programs.
- Ability to travel to meetings and stores as necessary.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Background and MVR Check.
