Responsibilities
  • Maintain operating status of all environmental permits and licensing compliance requirements
  • Complete payments for vendor invoices, permits, and other compliance documents
  • Track compliance permits and invoices using EHS Software System
  • Oversee the process for EPA Identification Numbers, State Chemical Permits, Air Permits, Safety Permits, etc. for all required Auto Zone locations
  • Assist with creation, review, and updates hazardous waste business plans for California stores in CERS (California Environmental Reporting System)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local ordinances and guidelines.
  • Interact directly and maintain effective working relationships with business owners, management companies, customers, and regulators.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding using Contract/Vendor Compliance Software
  • Manage vendor communication for new and relocated locations to ensure asset orders and transfers are completed
  • Research new and current rules and requirements of each regulatory agency and/or municipality to facilitate permit processing and expedite completion for existing and new locations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Earth Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Environmental Management, consulting, or regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven experience managing environmental compliance programs.
  • Ability to travel to meetings and stores as necessary.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Background and MVR Check.
