The Industrial Engineer I supports the Industrial Engineering Department in planning, designing, implementing, and managing production and service systems. These systems ensure strong performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the manufacturing site.
Primary Focus- Conduct studies to identify the most efficient workflows and production processes.
- Recommend improvements to maximize the use of equipment and personnel.
- Monitor and continuously improve daily quality and efficiency in assigned areas.
- Design and source production tools, equipment, and workstations.
- Coordinate production layout changes and workstation moves.
- Prepare and evaluate time estimates for projects.
- Reduce changeover time by standardizing setups where possible.
- Ensure machine maintenance is completed on schedule.
- Reduce machine‑related scrap by analyzing data and implementing corrective actions.
- Reduce manual assembly scrap through quality monitoring and improvements.
- Analyze workforce utilization, facility layouts, production costs, and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Follow all safety and health regulations.
- Comply with company security policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, process mapping, facility and workstation design).
- Understanding of Jabil’s global strategy and direction.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to align site capabilities with company strategy.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD.
