Quality Engineer Opportunity | Memphis, TN Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support new product launches and drive continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on implementing quality standards, managing corrective actions, and partnering cross‑functionally to ensure high‑quality production and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do- Lead quality planning for new product introductions using APQP methodologies
- Support quoting and process design from a quality perspective
- Develop inspection processes, control plans, and documentation
- Investigate customer and supplier discrepancies and drive corrective actions (8D, RCA)
- Partner with suppliers on quality improvements and audits
- Implement and maintain ISO and quality system requirements
- Analyze data using SPC and other quality tools to improve processes
- Support training initiatives related to quality standards and practices
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, production, and customers
- Supervise quality technicians and inspectors
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar)
- 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing (electronics preferred)
- Experience with core quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, SPC, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.)
- Strong root cause analysis and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with ISO standards and audits
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Manufacturing setting with cross‑functional collaboration
- Hands‑on role supporting production, suppliers, and customers
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $45.00/hr.
