Job Summary
Great client is seeking a manufacturing mechanical engineer to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will support the production of large, complex mechanical systems such as structural frames, piping, and enclosures. The role bridges the gap between engineering design and the factory floor by developing efficient assembly processes, creating clear technical documentation, and solving hands‑on build issues.

Memphis, Tennessee - Salary: $37 - $42 per hour
- Hours:
8:00 am to 4:00 pm - Education:
Bachelor’s degree
- Create and maintain work instructions, assembly drawings, torque specs, and Bills of Materials.
- Review mechanical prints to ensure they are practical to build given factory tooling and material constraints.
- Establish baseline standards for fastening strategies, torque control, seal interfaces, and hose/piping routing.
- Troubleshoot active assembly issues on the floor, including component interference, tolerance stack-ups, and fluid/air leaks.
- Optimize build sequences to improve safety, ergonomics, labor efficiency, and production cycle times.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), equipment commissioning, and Factory/Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
- Partner with Electrical, Test, and Industrial engineering teams to eliminate defects and smooth out production flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment assembly.
- Expertise in mechanical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑ups.
- Strong mechanical expertise and understanding of fastener selection, gasket/seal interfaces, and pressure safety practices.
- Proficient in creating and modifying documentation using Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with torque tools, industrial lifting devices and safety standards (OSHA, ISO, ASME).
