The Senior Stormwater Engineer will be responsible for performing hydrologic and hydraulic engineering tasks in association with stormwater design and analysis related to diverse range of projects including but not limited to flood studies, flood risk assessment, CLOMR/LOMR applications, storm water infrastructure design, site development, transportation and bridge design, including no rise certifications and scour analyses, and storm water drainage improvement projects, including channel stabilization.
Tasks shall include coordination and direction of other personnel in the performance of storm water engineering tasks. He/she will work directly with the Director of Land Development.

Responsibilities- Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for various storm water studies and tasks including, but not limited to, floodplain/floodway modeling and mapping, flood risk assessment, and mixed regime conveyance system analyses.
- Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for the design and construction plan production for site development, storm water infrastructure improvements, transportation and other projects involving complex drainage analysis and/or design.
- Drainage design including, but not limited to, storm water conveyance systems, detention/retention facilities, water quality systems, open channel improvements, grade control structures, bridge scour protection, and channel bank stabilization.
- Coordination of efforts of assigned design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort for stormwater related aspects.
- Development of technical report writing and technical specifications for drainage related construction design and/or analyses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Tennessee P.E. license or ability to obtain via reciprocity
- Minimum of five years of independent, responsible experience in performing detailed hydrologic/hydraulic computations, analyses, studies and design related to storm water, including preparation of reports associated with studies and analyses
- Must be proficient in the utilization of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS. SWMM, GIS and Autodesk Civil3D CAD
- Proficiency in other hydrologic/hydraulic software/programs such as Civil3D SSA, Open Flow is a plus
- Proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel and Word
