Roadway EIT​/Designer

In the role of Roadway EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:

• Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway/right of way projects.
• Develop roadway designs and plans in accordance with guidelines, standards, and specifications under the direction of a Project Engineer.
• Oversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other roadway design professionals.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects.
• Collaborate with Right of Way and preconstruction staff.
• Participate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase.
• Work with client facilities and under the direction of Client staff as needed.

• Reading and interpreting roadway and Right Of Way plans.
• Experience working with TDOT.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD; familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highway and Roads engineering.
• Software such as Bentley Concept Station and Open Roads Designer required.
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
