Position OverviewThe Process Engineer III will lead the planning and implementation of new production lines, coordinate with project managers to ensure appropriate platforms and processes are selected for new products, diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve production process issues, and provide support and guidance to junior process engineers.
Responsibilities- Foster a culture in which all company employees share a common purpose and comply with applicable laws and the company’s guiding principles.
- Consult on business process engineering, process measurements, change management, education, and training; identify opportunities for business process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support development of new products and develop processes for plastic forming processes and secondary processes.
- Assist in the implementation of cross‑functions; direct the management of outsourced projects.
- Incorporate a common process methodology in all re‑engineering processes.
- Work with plant leaders and engineering during transfer of new processes to production.
- Plan and carry out experiments and provide data analysis to define new process parameters and control limits.
- Provide upgrades to process controls; use statistical methods for product and process analysis.
- Develop resolutions to routine technical problems and execute solutions within developed timelines.
- Participate in reviews of product designs and mold designs for assigned projects.
- Take responsibility for personal and professional growth; participate in internal departmental activities.
- Participate in project reviews and department meetings; work independently and under minimal supervision.
- Train blow mold operators and equipment mechanics.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Blow mold manufacturing experience.
- Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, performance management, Six Sigma.
- Good manufacturing practices, root cause analysis, safety awareness and intervention, problem solving.
- Analytical mindset, driving toward success, training machine operators, creating a learning environment, influencing others, process systems & development.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Managed quality improvement.
- Build & lead teams.
- Preventive & predictive maintenance, CMMS.
- Project management.
Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
