Jabil is expanding! We are looking for a Material Handling Project Engineer to support new and existing sites throughout the US. This role will sit at one of our major sites in the US and travel up to 75% domestically.
Material Handling Project Engineer will be responsible for providing expert-level material handling engineering solutions and strategic guidance across multiple Jabil sites within a designated region. This role focuses on optimizing material flow, storage, and handling processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve operational performance.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Material Handling Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in material handling engineering, with at least 1-3 years in a leadership or regional role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of various material handling systems
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and simulation software.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects across multiple sites simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region to support various Jabil sites (up to 75%). When not traveling, work location is required on-site at the home-site location.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) for layout and system design.
