At Siemens, we turn ideas into innovations that shape industries and improve lives. In Johnson City, TN we develop factory automation equipment, specifically the SIMATIC S7 1200 PLC. We’re currently looking for an Electronics Technician to join our hands‑on team supporting engineering, interfacing with manufacturing, and driving customer success.
We are looking for an Electronics Technician. This position will be based in Johnson City, TN.
You’ll make an impact by:
Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic assemblies using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
Performing soldering (both SMT and through-hole) and hands‑on circuit repairs
Building and maintaining custom test rigs, and ensuring test equipment is regularly calibrated
Assisting engineers in research and development activities—prototyping, testing, and assembling electronics for new products
Investigating returned products and supporting root cause analysis on customer issues
You’ll work closely with a collaborative team of Technicians and Engineers with the chance to expand your skills across technical domains.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in the electronics or related industry
Strong understanding of electronics diagnostics, circuit testing, and fault finding
Competent with soldering, wiring, reading schematics, and building electronic assemblies
Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
Comfortable using technical documentation and managing equipment records
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates in electrical / electronics engineering.
