Bridge Fabrication Project Manager overse structural steel and component manufacturing for bridge infrastructure from contract award to final delivery . They manage budgets, schedules, quality compliance (such as AISC and AWS standards), and technical coordination for complex elements like girders, trunnions, and movable spans.
Key Responsibilities- Project Controls: Track budgets, schedules, status reports, and forecasts.
- Technical Coordination: Review shop drawings, welding procedures, and non-destructive testing (NDT/NDE) requirements.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Interface with detailers, shop production teams, QA/QC inspectors, engineers, and erectors.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to AISC certification guidelines, AASHTO specifications, and state Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent heavy industrial experience).
- Experience: 5 to 10+ years in structural steel or heavy civil manufacturing, ideally with complex or movable bridge components.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or AISC/AWS certifications are often preferred.
