Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Engineering Tech (AOI, AXI) 2nd Shift to our team.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager , the Engineering Tech (AOI, AXI) will perform complex engineering tests, troubleshooting, data analysis, and product validation activities while supporting automated optical inspection (AOI), automated X-ray inspection (AXI), process improvements, equipment performance, and problem resolution in a production environment.

What a Typical Day Looks Like:

Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering activities for products, systems, and components.

Analyze engineering test results, collect data, implement procedures, and recommend changes to resolve technical issues.

Review project instructions, blueprints, specifications, and procedures to determine testing requirements and potential design solutions.

Set up and conduct operational testing of complete units and components to support development, standardization, quality control, and problem resolution.

Analyze test results against specifications and modify or adjust equipment to meet defined requirements and objectives.

Record test procedures, results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for product or test method improvements while maintaining software, documentation, and equipment revisions.

Assist engineers with the development of hardware and software required to test customer products and specifications.

Train technicians and operators on products, processes, equipment, customer requirements, and testing procedures.

The Experience We're Looking to Add to the Team:

Associate degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years of related experience.

Experience with electronics, electronic components, PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) processes, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.

Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or similar programming languages.

Broad knowledge of engineering and testing techniques, including automated inspection equipment, troubleshooting, debugging, and process improvement activities.

Experience troubleshooting automated equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, fixtures, or other manufacturing automation technologies.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret a wide variety of technical instructions.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.

Advanced technical skills with the ability to lead or guide others, support on-the-job training, and work independently with minimal supervision.
