Role Overview

Audio Technician – Live Event Production. Responsible for the load‑in, out, and setup of audio and production equipment for concerts and events, operating audio control boards, overseeing visiting audio technicians, and ensuring high‑quality sound throughout the venue.

• Perform load‑in, set‑up, and break‑down of band and event audio equipment.
• Cable management, patching, and operating audio control boards.
• Maintain safe audio levels and execute professional audio mixes.
• Oversee visiting audio technicians, especially during shows.
• Protect, maintain, and repair company and rental audio equipment.
• Assist production throughout the house and with technical advance for artists.
• Ensure proper care and handling of all equipment.
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show.
• Distribute or create audio production plans.
• Operate and oversee all audio systems in the venue.
• Schedule and meet special event audio requirements.
• Maintain relationships with local and national audio vendors.
• Assist stage manager with show passes and lighting crew with stands, microphones, and cables.

• Minimum 3 years of tour and stage production experience.
• Experience with stage lighting, pro‑audio systems, and basic video systems.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
• Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• High School Diploma (required).
• College degree (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work in a moderately to loudly noisy environment.
• May require extended periods standing, walking, or bending.
