Senior Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting the organization's compliance with tax regulations. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail who excels in analysis and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Conduct detailed account analysis to verify the accuracy of financial records.

- Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow tracking.

- Manage sales and use tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

- Analyze variances in financial data and provide actionable insights.

- Utilize advanced Excel techniques to organize, analyze, and present financial information.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent financial practices across the organization.

- Assist in preparing documentation and reports for audits.

- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Strong skills in account analysis and bank reconciliation.

- Familiarity with sales and use tax compliance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and formulas.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
