Director of Accounting and Finance

Position Overview

A growing organization is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Director of Accounting & Finance to lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, compliance, and internal control functions. This individual will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership, providing financial insight and operational support to drive growth and performance.

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long‑range planning processes.
• Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, treasury activities, and working capital performance.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and risk management practices.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and advisors.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
• Prepare and present financial reports and insights to executive leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial analysis.
• Experience managing audits, month‑end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• CPA and/or CMA strongly preferred.
• Public accounting experience and knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and ASC 606 are a plus.
